Sri’s Journey
From humble beginnings to building one of India’s respected B2B SaaS companies. Sri’s journey began at NIT Warangal, where he led the student community and founded Lakshya Foundation, raising support from alumni to help underserved students access education. That mission became Almabase, a bootstrapped, profitable SaaS company now scaling toward $10M ARR.
Prateek’s Journey
An operator-turned-founder obsessed with scaling B2B companies. Prateek started building early, then joined Almabase in its formative years - helping drive growth as one of the earliest GTM operators. Since then, he has worked closely with multiple companies globally, helping them scale to multi-million ARR with operational rigor and speed.
Shifu Ventures
We saw a gap in the ecosystem - most accelerators and VCs are built to chase unicorn outcomes (for the right reasons). Building AlmaBase showed us how durable, capital-efficient scale can be life-changing for founders - creating real ownership and optionality. That conviction led us to co-build more companies the same way via Shifu Ventures
Shifu Foundation
During the Bharat SaaS Yatra, we discovered remarkable entrepreneurial stories from Tier 3 and Tier 4 India. We realised the next wave of Indian tech entrepreneurship will come not from a few cities, but from every district, and we wanted to be part of that change. Shifu Foundation, our non-profit, inspires and educates founders from Tier 2+ districts to become tech entrepreneurs.

Culture is the foundation of everything we’re building at Shifu.
We’re intentionally staying small - 10–15 people at most - building a tight-knit team of long-term thinkers who care deeply about craft, character, and sustainable company-building.
There is only one life, and on top of it, it’s short and unpredictable. Nothing is worth pursuing if the journey is not fun!
We all innately strive for a fit body, a calm mind, and a home filled with love (as Naval wisely said 🫡). By supporting this, the company benefits in the long run - creating happier, more productive people working together towards the vision for the long term.
We have massive ambitions, but on an uncharted path. Having a strong bias for action and iterating quick will help us build in the right direction!
Don’t optimise for a bigger slice of the pie, instead strive to make the pie bigger.
Always strive for a win-win for the long-term!
We need to be almost obsessed about using Tech (especially AI) to 10X our efficacy, in almost every function! We need to build a strong online audience, and it will help us immensely in the long-term! These two are the biggest levers!
